This testing initiative and new partnership is funded in part by Beyonce Knowles and the Bey Good Foundation along with Jack Dorsey and the Start Small Foundation. The overall program goal is to reach the most vulnerable in the African American community as we work through this global pandemic. Beyonce Knowles has always been a huge supporter of her home church, St. John’s United Methodist Church located in downtown houston. Working with Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus, her generous donations built housing for the homeless, provided financial support in various ways and surprised families with a visit and gifts as they recovered from Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
